Northern Colorado gets enough sunny days to make outdoor space worth building well. It also gets intense ultraviolet light, hail, heavy wet snow, and wind, all of which find the weak points in a deck or a fence.
We design and build outdoor structures across Loveland, Fort Collins, Windsor, and the surrounding area, engineered and permitted where the project calls for it.
Outdoor scope
- Composite and PVC decks
- Cedar and pressure-treated decks
- Covered patios and roof extensions
- Pergolas and shade structures
- Outdoor kitchens
- Stairs, railings, and lighting
- Wood, vinyl, and metal fences
- Deck repair and resurfacing
Composite or wood
Wood costs less up front and needs staining or sealing on a regular schedule in this climate. Composite and PVC decking cost more to install and need little beyond washing. For a deck that gets full afternoon sun, low maintenance usually wins over time.
Structure and permits
Most attached or elevated decks need a building permit, and so do patio covers that tie into the house. Footings have to reach below frost depth, the ledger has to be flashed and fastened to the house correctly, and the frame has to carry local snow load. That structure is what we get right first.
How a project runs
- 01
Walkthrough
We look at the space with you, talk through what you want, and flag anything that affects cost or schedule up front.
- 02
Written scope and price
You get a written scope of work and price before anything starts, so there is no guessing about what is included.
- 03
Build
We handle permits, schedule the trades, protect the rest of your home, and keep you posted as the work moves.
- 04
Final walkthrough
We walk the finished work with you, close out inspections, and take care of the punch list before we call it done.
Common questions
Can you replace the decking and keep my existing frame?
Often, yes. We inspect the footings, posts, joists, and ledger first. If the frame is sound, resurfacing with new decking and railing saves a good share of the cost.
Do I need HOA approval?
Many Northern Colorado neighborhoods require design review for decks, fences, and patio covers. We can supply the drawings and material information your HOA asks for.
Can you build a roof over an existing patio?
Yes. We check the existing slab and footings, design the cover to tie into your roofline, and permit it.
